Out @ Collin is the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, Identifying and Ally student organization at Collin County Community College. Our organization is centered at the Spring Creek Campus (SCC) and we welcome all Collin students regardless of orientation to join OUT.
We have weekly general meetings and talk about current events. We normally end the meeting with a board game or hanging out to talk. Meetings are in the evenings at SCC since our advisor teaches during the day.
We aim for one project a month-- in the past we've helped rebuild homes in Dallas, and run fundraisers for Dallas AIDS non-profits. We often work with the community, and other local GLBT organizations. Times for these events vary-- any events not hosted by OUT will be determined by the hosting party.
We have several social mixers each year, we go to the movies, have game nights, or share experiences. OUT is very casual, and very positive. There's normally ten to fifteen people at the meetings, and everyone's encouraged to bring friends.
We're continuously adding to our schedule, so come to a meeting or drop us an email to get out with OUT! Events should be listed on the calendar below. To get familiar with us, your best bet is to arrive at the weekly general meetings. If you can't make them, just come whenever you can. We usually meet up at Starbucks (on Spring Creek off 75) for an hour or so after the meetings end (around 9). General meetings are held on SCC in room I216, from 7pm to roughly 9pm.
